I work on restorative dentistry at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Faculty of Dentistry. I run laboratory and clinical studies on adhesive systems, composite resins, CAD/CAM and 3D-printed materials, and calcium silicate-based biomaterials. Digital dentistry, and particularly where 3D-printed materials fit into restorative treatment, is something I work on both in the lab and in the clinic. Artificial intelligence in dentistry has become part of the picture more recently.

I teach restorative dentistry at undergraduate and graduate level, in Turkish and English. I serve on the editorial boards of Scientific Reports and BMC Oral Health. I have 104 publications, 46 of them in SCI-Expanded indexed journals.
